Earthquake

We had an earthquake yesterday it registered at 5.4 on the richter scale. I was in the kitchen and the windows started to rattle (which is normal for our old apartment) but then the building started to sway and then Hunter from the other room yells"Mom, what was that?" I talked to Eric just to make sure I felt what I did and he said his co-worker was on the phone with a customer who was near LA and he yelled "earthquake" over the phone to him and then 2 seconds later he felt the earthquake because we are about 2 hours south of LA. So I thought that was pretty cool. I listened to the news radio and they said as of yesterday afternoon there was no reported major damage. That is good. You got to love California!

We went to the Kamas City Rodeo on July 24th as a family. Hunter and Abby were dancing to the music and Abby was doing a crazy bucking move(perfect for rodeo dancing) and she got Hunter right in the arm. The funniest thing about the video is that Hunter loves to watch it over and over again and cracks up with laughter when he watches himself getting kicked, so I had to post it on our blog.

Family fun in Utah

One of Hunter's favorite movies right now is Annie. One day he came up to me and said "Mom watch me" and made the move Annie makes when she bets up the boys trying to take Sandy the dog away.

Cousin Jane and Hunter playing piano. The cutest kids in the world.

Cousin picture. L to R... Ryan 7, Hunter 2, Easton 13, Brandon 8, Jane 2, Abby 2.
Hunter and Abby wanted to swim in the lake it was 9pm, they had a blast.

Kissing cousins.

Shelly bought play high heels for Abby and Hunter had try on a pair also.

Hunter LOVES his cousin Ryan. They wrestle and play so good together.

Swimming pool fun.

Shelly found this dress at a garage sale..she had to buy it for Abby and you can tell once Abby had it on she turned into little miss diva.

Home Sweet Home

It's so nice to be home again with Eric. Even though we had a blast in Utah with cousins, Aunts, Uncles and Grandma & Grandpa, there's nothings like being home with daddy. I have a lot of photos to post so I will get to that soon. We are getting ready for Church so I better get going or we'll be late...which never happens(hehe)

Going away ....again

Eric headed out to Boy's Scout camp early this morning. They are going to Beaver Utah Venture Camp for the week. He is really excited to go camping and to go back to Beaver were he went when he was in scouts. He told me there is a 24 mile hike on one of the days and he said he was the youngest and most in shape of the leaders so he figures he will have to go. I'm glad it's him and not me.

So I decided while he so going to be out of town I would do the same. So Hunter and I are driving up to Utah with my Mom and Dad for a week and then we will be flying back home. It will be fun for Hunter to be with all his Francis' cousins and do all the fun things you do on vacation.

We will be there on the 24th which is Pioneer Day in Utah so we will be apart of all the fun festivities. We are thinking in the evening of having a BBQ and then going to a Rodeo. Sounds fun!

So if I don't post(which I will try)you'll know that we are..... gone again.

Rabbit

Isn't he the cutest kid you ever did see!
Rabbit and Hunter as friends

The rabbit getting ready to jump at Hunter
Hunter crying because the rabbit jumped at him

Today I had some shopping to do and a pedicure to get, so I thought it would be best if I took Hunter to Grandma's house. Uncle Kyle would be home and said yes to watching Hunter for me. When I got of the phone with Kyle, I told Hunter that we were going to Grandma's house and that uncle Kyle was going to play with him. He jump off the couch and shouted"Let's go!"
Well, I had a great time shopping(spent to much....the usual) then had a fabulous pedicure thanks to my mother-in-law for the gift certificate for my birthday. My toes look so cute.
This past weekend at my in-laws house they found a pet rabbit in their front yard, meanwhile they have a new pet rabbit. They have posted signs all over to try to find the owner, with no success yet. Kyle let the rabbit out of her cage to play and run in the back yard. Hunter was really excited to pet her, so while chasing her all around the back yard(rabbit is really fast) at one point the rabbit turned around and then leaped at Hunter like"dude leave me alone" Of course it made Hunter scared and sad and made him cry(refer to photos above, thanks to Grandma Gemmell for the fast finger on the camera) He was just fine after a minute and then wanted to chase the rabbit again....he is such a boy!

Scottish Highland Games

Eric and his family were asked to march in the parade of the Clans. Eric is carrying the Scotland flag and is wearing his Buchanan family kilt.

Let's do it again!

Eric took the afternoon off of work and we went down to the San Diego Fair. Hunter wanted to watch the pig races again which we did and he loved it. We walked through the smelly & loud pig area, at hunter's request. Then he saw the rides and wanted to go over the bridge to ride on the up/down horsey. We bought the tickets and we headed for the Carousal. Hunter gave the tickets to the operator and he choose his horse. He had a great time and when it was over he wanted to go on another ride. So Eric took him on some twirly hot air balloon little kiddie ride, then went fishing to win a stuffed baby white tiger(which Hunter carries around with him every where) Then Hunter rode on the swings all by himself, then he saw the big tall play area/obstacle course. He said to Eric "Me and daddy go on that" He had so much fun that when he came off the slide at the end he was chanting "Let's do it again!!'' So they did. We then stayed for the Weird Al Yankavic concert which was totally awesome!! He gives you a good belly laugh.
Until next year San Diego Fair it's been a good one!
